Following a career teaching Arts and Crafts working with wood and metal, Laurie Collins is now retired and working at his art full time. He is bearded, overweight and sort of ugly. He is married to Marian and has three grown children. He lives in Jindivick, Victoria, and his studio is a shed surrounded by piles of metal junk which makes up parts of his sculptures and furniture. He reads, listens to music and generally enjoys life.
He also manages the “Laurie Collins Sculpture Garden” which features his larger works and the Red Tree Gallery which has his small pieces such as these, and also other people’s exhibitions.
Both these are at 420 Main Jindivick Rd, Jindivick and are open all the time!
