I share my time between Inverloch and Melbourne.

I am a contemporary printmaker who draws inspiration from the local Gippsland flora and fauna. I create hand-coloured linocut prints using precise and detailed carving, with a focus on pattern, line, and textural markings to generate realism and character.

In my art practice I become totally immersed in the tactile experience of carving and love the excitement of pulling a print off the press for the first time. The exploration and decision making related to design, colour and mark making ensures that or me, making art is always new and interesting.

Artmaking has been a constant throughout my life.  I completed a Graduate Diploma in Art Education majoring in Textiles, and later completed a Diploma of Art (Studio Stitch). I have taught Visual Arts to both Tertiary and Primary students in the public and private education systems for more than 30 years. My membership of the FireStation Print Studio and the Print Council of Australia has ignited my passion to further develop my print skills and informs my art practice.

Whilst relatively new to printmaking, I have taken part in several group exhibitions in 2023 and 2024. These include ‘Print Matters’ at the Firestation Print Studio, the Gippsland Print Award Exhibition at the Sale Art Gallery, the ‘ArtsPrint’ Exhibition at ArtSpace, Wonthaggi, as well as the ‘Birds of Paradise’, a solo exhibition at the Meeniyan Galley in 2024.
