You will create an attractive small stitched basket using such materials as Cumbungi (bullrush) or Iris leaves combined with dyed corn sheaths. It is excellent for beginners who will learn about the collection and preparation of these materials as well as other coiling and stitching techniques during the class. Students will need to bring scissors for cutting the sewing thread and a large eyed chenille sewing needle. Sewing threads will be supplied, but if you have any linen thread or strong fine knitting cottons bring them along.
