Bears and Art Objects
Who hasn’t experienced the enchantment, solace and comfort of a bear, either as a child or in the joy seeing a child with their favourite bear?
This year of strange times of social distancing and the unnatural requirement to resist a hug with each other an artist once said: ‘If we can’t hug each other we can at least hug a bear.’
That artist is Karin Murphy Ellis who has burst from Covid-19 lock-down with her new exhibition BEAR Show.
Renowned for her exquisite jewelry, flamboyant hats, medieval dresses, unique textile sculptures and quirky relief paintings, Karin has continued the challenge of thinking outside the norm by creating her bears from a treasure trove of fabulous fabrics, vibrant colours and unique textures.
Enjoy her creation of individual, endearing, quirky, characters as cuddly, recycled textile, delights.
A must see exhibition for all ages.
